How to get to Celje by route, railway or air

By car

Slovenia has an excellent highway network connected to neighboring countries. It is necessary to buy a vignette before driving on Slovenian highways. From Graz
leave Graz, take A2, head towards SLO (Slovenia). Continue along A9/E57/E59. Entry into Slovenia, continue along E57/A1, head towards Ljubljana, driving around Maribor and passing Slovenske Konjice. Take the highway exit towards Celje center.

From Ljubljana
Leave Ljubljana, take E57/A1, head towards Maribor. Take the exit towards Celje zahod. Head towards Celje zahod. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit Celje.

From Zagreb
Leave Zagreb, take Jadranska Avenija, head towards Ljubljana (Slovenia). Continue along E70/A3. Entry into Slovenia. Continue along E70/A2, take the exit towards Celje. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit Celje. Pass by Krško. Arrive in Celje.

By train

Slovenian Railways (Slovenske Železnice) does an admirable job of running an efficient network with clean modern trains that are usually on time. There are regular daily trains from Celje to Ljubljana, Maribor and Koper.
